Earlier this year, Overtime announced OTE, a transformative new sports league that offers the world’s most talented young basketball players a better pathway to becoming professional athletes.

"Innovation is at the core of who we are at Overtime Elite, and our commitment to that starts on the court with the SIQ basketballs. With the unique technology and tracking capabilities, we are able to monitor our athletes' development and progress in ways that help us prepare them for the next level," said Aaron Ryan, OTE President & Commissioner.

The SIQ basketball is the world's first and only FIBA-approved smart game ball. In 2021, SIQ launched in the US and partnered with professional players Duncan Robinson and Kayla McBride. Organizations using SIQ basketballs and technology include International Sports Academy, Open Gym Premier, Bespoke Treatments, and hundreds of coaches and trainers around the world.

“This is an exciting time in basketball,” said Erik Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of SIQ. “We’re thrilled to be working with a like-minded organization that's rooted in empowering athletes and giving them unparalleled access to improving their game.”

To practice like an OTE athlete, fans can purchase an SIQ ball of their own here. Be sure to follow the latest OTE updates on @OTE and @SIQbasketball.

SIQ (pronounced "S-I-Q") Basketball is the industry's first FIBA-approved smart game ball that tracks all the data a shooter at any level needs. Shooting metrics including makes, misses, swish percentage, shot distance, shooting percentage, form consistency, shot situation, release time, release angle, and quickness are all tracked by SIQ's patented technology with 99% indoor accuracy when paired with the mobile app. The ball's discrete internal sensors do not affect its weight or flight, giving it the same look and feel as compared to a standard game ball.
